Earthy, spicy, sweet goodness – one of my favorite blends for the fall and wintertime. You’ll get 3 delicious cups of tea with this recipe!
I came across this recipe unintentionally when I trying out a new vanilla chai tea I got. It was strong and tasty for the first steep. On the second steep, it lost a bit of the spice and flavor, but there was still some there. I’m not a waster of tea, so I looked around my tea stash and pulled out some gunpowder green. I added some to the chai tea, and took my first sip. I realized I mixed something that had incredible flavor and a wonderful balance of spices and earthiness.
- Gunpowder Green Tea (Or your favorite green tea) – 1tsp
- Vanilla Chai Tea Blend (I got mine from adagio teas) – 1tsp
- Optional: 1 tsp Honey
First, brew your vanilla chai, and enjoy a cup. I brewed for 212° for 10 minutes. After your first brew, add a teaspoon of green tea to your infuser. Brew at 190° for 5 minutes. You can re-steep once more after this. If you’d like it to be sweeter, add a teaspoon of honey.
