Chai Tea Latte

Sweet, spicy and savory, this tea is a wonderful treat for any day. Took me a few tries to get it just right; came out amazing (Better than Starbucks).

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 mug hot water
  • 2/3 mug milk (Or almond milk if vegan. Wan’t a chocolate chai latte – use chocolate almond!)
  • 1.5tsp cinammon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 Chai Tea Bags (I used Spice Dragon Red Chai and Chai Spice from Stash Tea)

Instructions:

  1. Heat water and steep tea bags
  2. While bags are steeping, pour milk into pot over medium-low heat
  3. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup to milk
  4. Occasionally stir milk until it starts to lightly bubble
  5. Remove milk from heat, remove tea bags from water
  6. Pour milk into the mug with the chai tea
  7. Optional – Add whipped cream on top and lightly sprinkle nutmeg on top
  8. Enjoy!

Omg, I love chai tea. 😍 But I’m too lazy to make one myself. I’m glad you have finally got it right after a few tries and made it even better than Starbucks, I hope it’s cheaper too! 😆 Your recipe looks amazing!

Thank! I would recommend you give this a shot one day when you’re feeling like it. It’s actually very easy, only thing different from dunking a tea bag is heating up milk and spices! Definitely cheaper if you commonly have the ingredients in your household – you’ll get tons of lattes out of it!
